The Thief // Smart Design

When in Oslo, make sure you spend some time @The Thief, enjoying the comfort of a well and smart designed hotel room or just breath the atmosphere for a couple of hours, visiting restaurant Fru K or the rooftop bar.

The Thief is located between the iconic Astrup Fearnley Museum, the canals on Tjuvholmen and the Oslo fjord. Tjuvholmen is the newer and modern part of Oslo.

Contemporary art & design is the key element in the interior of the hotel. International and Norwegian designers such as Antonio Citterio, Bruno Rainaldi, Tom Dixon, Anne Haavind and StokkeAustad are behind the furniture and decor. The hotel’s own art curator has handpicked art for every single room and suite from The Thief Art collection.

I loved the little details in the room, such as the Geneva S to play music, water that is refreshed at several moments of the day, the soft velour robes, the spacious bathroom, the light and space in the room and the view. This is a hotel room you actually want to stay in to enjoy it. Thank you Thief for the sweet cups of night tea before going to sleep, the upgrade and the flexible day use on the day we left.

True style is always a combination between the surroundings and people who ‘live’ a concept. All the credits for the lovely and professional staff and the most charming GM/ hotel manager. Compliments for the informal yet professional approach, which is so nice when travelling, making you feel at home and part of the scene. We also met some very enthusiastic people celebrating summer on the roof top bar, not always matching the scenery, but hey; it was a very warm and happy day and yes; summer needs to be embraced in Scandinavia…

Thanks @TheThief!
